Vertical Wind Generator DIY Science Kit

This vertical wind generator demonstrates how wind energy converts to electricity, with the advantage of capturing wind from any direction. Unlike traditional horizontal designs, it operates efficiently in light breezes while maintaining a compact footprint ideal for education and experimentation. The four-blade vertical design makes it well-suited for classroom demonstrations and DIY projects. It generates output voltage from 0.01V to 5.5V depending on wind conditions, with a rated power of 0.55W at 5.5 m/s wind speed. The motor dimensions (24.5mm diameter, 34.2mm height) and lightweight construction at 60 grams keep the overall assembly manageable for hands-on building. Perfect for students learning renewable energy principles or hobbyists building science models, this kit provides practical insight into how vertical axis wind turbines operate across varying wind directions and speeds.
