Description

A protective foam sponge insert that sits at your filter's intake to shield small fish and shrimp from being pulled into the filter barrel. Works with set filters, built-in filters, external filters, and waterfall-style systems. The sponge catches debris before it reaches your filter media, extending the life of your filter cartridge and reducing maintenance. Its flexible construction allows you to cut or fit it to your specific inlet size, making it adaptable to different tank setups and filter designs. Simply place it in your filter's intake basket or intake tube. Each pack includes five pieces, giving you spares for multiple tanks or replacements as the sponge eventually compacts over time. Suitable for freshwater aquariums where you keep delicate or juvenile species.
